Medieval Chaos has been running for over 15 years and after a two year break I’ve decided some changes need to be made. Before we reopen I want to make sure we bring something to the forefront of our game. As the owner operator I want to ensure that Medieval Chaos is a safe and welcoming space.
When I say safe, I mean physically, emotionally, mentally, and spirituality, safe. Medieval Chaos is not here to teach compassion, understanding, or mutual respect. Players must already know these lessons before they attend MC. Medieval Chaos will not tolerate any actively oppressive views as they do not align with our intended culture of safety.
To best create this culture of safety within Medieval Chaos we are asking anyone who wants to participate to consider the following statements.
If you are reading this and you;
- are offended by the concept of white privilege
- support a group like the proud boys, or the sons of Odin
- support for the freedom truck rally, regardless of the evidence of their white nationalist roots
- refuse to wear a mask when required
- support the PPC party of Canada
If you are uncomfortable with any of the following;
- transgender or non gendered persons
- non CIS orientations
- people of non white races
- people of non Christian religions
- people who speak English as a second language
- immigrants
- people from different cultures
- same sex couples, or polyamory
If any of the aforementioned statements apply to you, then Medieval Chaos is not the place for you.
Medieval Chaos is owned by an indigenous person and operates on indigenous lands. I have always endeavored to leave politics off the field, but now see it as my duty to make a stand and stop hateful people from having a space within our community. Human rights are not something we can agree to disagree on.
I want to say clearly that Medieval Chaos is no longer focused on growth but instead creating a higher quality experience for our membership.
